How to Join

1. TAKE A FREE INTRO

A free Intro class is the first step in deciding whether The H-town is right for you. You don’t need to “get in shape” to attend a free intro class, as we’ve scaled them to be friendly and accessible for any fitness level. You can, then simply show up. We have full showers and changing areas at our multiple locations

2. SIGN UP

To keep going after your Free Intro, join The H-town! Our pricing is fair, simple, and straightforward:  and, yes, we’re the best-priced CrossFit box in Houston with the most value. 3. LEARN ELEMENTS

Our Free Intro is actually an extra Class in our four class Elements on-ramp series, which teaches the basics of CrossFit in a fun, friendly and safe environment. Once you’ve signed up as a member, you can complete the other four Elements classes (Class 1 through Class 4) at your own pace; we offer each class at many times throughout the week. You’re welcome to repeat any of those classes as often as you’d like. We recommend completing them roughly in order, though it’s okay to jump around a bit if you need. There’s no special charge for Elements – it’s simply included in your monthly membership.

4. HIT THE WOD

Once you’ve taken all five Elements classes, talk to our front desk, so they can set you up with permission to take regular WOD (or Workout of the Day) classes. We have WODs in a bunch of different levels and all of our classes are Capped at 14 Athletes.  We promise our Beginner WODs are no more terrifying than Elements classes!

If you’re returning to The H-town after time off, we’d recommend you consider taking Elements Class 1 through Class 4 again first, both as a refresher and an opportunity to ramp back up the intensity.

Theo Tsekouras

Founder

Theo found CrossFit by accident in 2005. He was looking for a way to make himself better as a Houston Firefighter. What started out as a hobby in his 234sf garage with a bunch of friends in 2010, quickly turned into one of Houston's top CrossFit Gyms. Theo is one of the most decorated CrossFit Instructors in Houston, being one of the few CrossFit Level 2 instructors in both CrossFit and Gymnastics.

Carrie Tsekouras RN, MS

General Manager

Carrie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master's Degree in Nursing from Texas Woman's University as well as CF-1 & Level 1 Gymnastics. Carrie has been competing in gymnastics and thoroughbred competitions since the age of 5, but Carrie's true passions come through her love of helping those in need. "When I found CrossFit I realized I could combine my two loves and reach more people through fitness."

Dr. Seth Lawrence PT, DPT

Director of Training

Dr. Lawrence has his doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine and a BS in Kinesiology from the University of Houston. Dr. Seth has been in the fitness industry since 1999 as a Personal Trainer. "I have dealt with high school, Collegiate, and Professional athletes, and I feel CrossFit delivers the best training environment for all people when done in a qualified setting".
